BECOME A MEMBER
A company seeking membership in the AGLOC should have been registered with the Reserve Bank Of India and their business shall be giving Gold loans i.e., loans against collateral of Gold Jewellery. The Secretary in consultation with the President, after scrutiny of the application and other related documents shall decide the eligibility or otherwise and the Category to which a member could be admitted and their decision shall be final.
There are 4 categories of membership as detailed below:
(a) Annual Members : Non-Banking finance companies registered with RBI doing business in India who opt to pay membership fee on yearly basis.
(b) Life Members: Members who pay subscription in lumpsum, according to the Bye – laws laid down for the purpose in lieu of yearly subscription.
(c) Associate Members: Companies from Banking and Jewellery Industry will be enrolled as Associate Members on an annual subscription basis. They will have no voting rights.
(d) Honorary Members: Individuals who have distinguished service in the field will be admitted as Honorary Members.
Members (except Associate Members) will be entitled to attend ,take part and vote in all meetings of the association. They will also be eligible to receive free of cost all newsletters, publications of the association .
The subscription will become due from 1st April every year and shall be paid by 31st May of the year.
All Complaints from the member companies should be addressed to the President, with Copy marked to the Secretary of the Association. The complaint should narrate in detail the issues involved, action taken by the member company to address the complaint, present position and should be signed by the Chairman/M.D./C.E.O of the member Company concerned. The complaint can be sent by email to enquiry@agloc.org followed by the hard copy by courier.
